The Little Light of Mine Foundation
The “Little Light of Mine Foundation” was created to support the causes that were near & dear to the heart of Bernie Fielder. Supporting children in the areas of education, athletics & other positive extra-curricular activities is a primary focus of the foundation. Additionally, the foundation also supports other humanitarian efforts that align with the core values Bernie believed in. When someone needed help, Bernie always wanted to help. We are here to carry on his commitment to these missions. In support of this foundation, the Little Light of Mine Dinner has been organized to celebrate Bernie’s life & provide an infusion of funds to carry out these missions.
Bernie Fielder
Bernie was a man with an immense passion for all that he did. He was a Christian, dedicated to sharing the love and life of his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a devoted husband to his wife Lori and together they were a tag team couple whose hospitality, generosity and kindness were known throughout the community of North Alabama and beyond. Bernie was an engaged and caring father of five children, all of whom deeply love and respect him.
As one coming from humble roots, he saw his success as a businessman as an opportunity given to him by God to help the helpless and to create opportunities for young people to develop and succeed in life.
Bernie’s generosity included providing scholarships for education, adopting children into his family, and providing recreational opportunities to underprivileged children. While we will long miss his presence, his legacy of love and light will continue on in the Little Light of Mine Foundation.
